It is found in some lakes, mostly ones rich in salts, in Central, South America, and Africa. It can also be grown in outdoor tanks for nutritional supplements. It can be taken as a powder, flakes, capsules, or tablets. It is most commonly used for Oral leukioplakia, and weight loss/obesity.
